Soil judging is an inter-collegiate competition which gives undergraduate students an opportunity to learn and apply skills in soil classification, soil morphological description, and interpretation in field settings all across the U.S. Soil judging provides valuable field experience for those who may want to work with soil in the future, or simply want to expand their knowledge of soil science. Please contact Dr. Hirmas if you are interested in joining the team. Students from all backgrounds are welcome!
